News2XU Series Race 1 wrap up

November 25, 2018

It was great to see so many smiling faces today at 2xU race 1. From athletes to supporters, the turnout was fantastic.

The day started with our juniors, including Harry G and the entire Baker clan, who had an absolute ball in a 150m run/3km ride/500m run. Every one did their best and finished with a smile.

Next up, we had Amber, Jaz and Regan in the a 750m fun/7km ride/1.2km run. Each had a great race. Some good cornering by Jaz putting into practice what she has learned. Regan pumped the ride better than last year. Amber has plenty of fun, despite the cancelation of her favourite leg- the swim. She noted, “I can swim 150m faster than I can run 750m”.

In the sprint distance we had a solid number of participants. Juliette, Bec (raced with elites coming 4th), Damo W, Damo T, Mick G, Mick C, Pay V, Vikrant, Glenn and James.

A special thumbs up to:

James for completing his first dual/triathlon,

Juliette 3rd place in her age category,

Damo T 2nd place (12th overall) and

Pat Vohs 3rd in his age category.

Well done also to Levi (former CCTS) for his pro win today!

Great work to everyone today on a fantastic start to the 2XU series.

We had a strong community supporting each other with lots of smile- despite the cold weather and the cancelled swim.

A big thanks to all our Partners – we wouldn’t be here without you!
